Spirit is the animating life force that gives drive and direction to human existence.

Why is it important in the workplace?

Work is a powerful force in the shaping of identity and is how we spend much of our time. At work, by fully expressing our spirit, we can experience freedom, purpose, joy, empowerment and fulfillment. When this expression is blocked, our work is a place of fear and discouragement.

For many, the “spiritual” workplace:

• encompasses creativity, uniqueness, meaning, connection, and contribution

• demonstrates respect, equality, dignity, responsibility, and integrity

• acknowledges and cultivates values and commits to positive, ethical principles

My work is to encourage spirit in the workplace. Specifically, I help individuals and groups:

• initiate conversations and discover their meaning of spirit and spirituality

• explore the value of spirit and spirituality to their work

• replace blocks to full spiritual expression with new possibilities
